HI, I’M RICE!

Rice Gallardo is an illustrator and designer from the Philippines based in New York City, USA. They received a BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts and are currently furthering their studies at Parsons School of Design.

Their work explores the intersection of whimsy and chaos, drawing inspiration from fiction and storytelling as well as their real-life experiences as a queer Filipino. They wield color and type to effectively convey mood and expression in creating vibrant, engaging, and meaningful visual solutions.

In their spare time, they can be found playing video games, being a cat mom, and attempting to take care of plants.
